I have been using the Musichi Suite for over one year. I am very pleased with the performance of all the programs in the Musichi Suite. When I learned about the Musichi Suite, I downloaded the trial version. After ripping a few CDs and loading them into the program, I immediately understood the potential capabilities of Musichi and how I could use the suite to convert my entire CD collection to Lossless FLAC files, store those file on my computer and use the Musichi Player to play the files through my audio system. To date, I have converted over 1400 CDs to FLAC files and catalogued them into the Musichi Library system. Converting 1400 + CDs is a very large and time-consuming task. The Musichi Tagger helps make this effort less onerous by helping the tagging process with access to several online database sources. During the conversion process, I have become much more familiar with Musichi’s capabilities and I have used the software to create a cross-referenced musical library to satisfy my personal preferences. I highly recommend the Musichi Suite. For potential new users, I recommend downloading the trial version to learn about the features and capabilities, then purchasing the fully-licensed version when you are ready to begin the conversion process.Happy Listening and Converting! A.T. Daniels, USA
H. Falco, France
MusiCHI was developed by a classical music lover and it shows. No other tagging program will get you to high quality consistent and comprehensive tagging of classical music the same way. Now I can find my music very easily without needing to worry about inconsistent composer or performer spelling or the many different ways you could specify the same composition. Quality tagging is not a simple task, so to make it simpler, there are videos containing useful instructions and tips. Support level is without equal. Whenever I wanted to ask how to do something, I sent an email and got a response very quickly with excellent advice. For a long while I hesitated about ripping my CD collection and moving to storage based playback. How I would be able to browse my music selection has been a major concern. When I found out about MusiCHI, I installed the full-featured demo and played with it for a few weeks. It was obvious very quickly that I found what I was looking for and more. The quality of MusiCHI was a major factor is convincing me to make the move away from physical CDs. Warmly recommended! A. Wasserman, Israel
Since I have more leisure now, I have been able to spend more time with MusiCHI. I can’t tell you how impressed I am with your program and with its features. Your online videos are a great help for those of us who do not use the program on a regular basis. M. Dizik, USA
Pandora is lovely, but I’m a more active listener with a lot of recordings I love. I put all my CDs on computer for easier access but access for classical music still wasn't all that easy until I added MusiCHI. I now listen to all kinds of things across a thousand years of music. The satisfaction is back along with many new moments of (re-)discovery. J. Beck, former CEO of WNYC New York, former Radio Manager of WGBH Boston
I've been using Musichi for over a year now and I love it. It has everything you need for a digital classical music library. And the support team are really quick in replying to any questions I had. All in all, great value for money! J. Van Deun, Belgium
The MusiCHI system is the best there is. All my files are easy to find and I cannot say enough praise for the tagger, and the ripper. There is no other system that comes close. All I have now is foobar and MusiCHI. You are truly a great resource and support. G. Philip, Canada
I would like to express my appreciation of your program which is a revelation. My dusty CD collection is now completely redundant and I am at long last free to explore the music as it was performed, that and compare different interpretations of the same piece. Wonderful, thank you, and for your support. M. Windrum, U.K.
Itunes is nice and easy for many things, but a nightmare for anything more than a few classical CDs. Desperation turned to delight when I found MusiChi: Finally somebody designed a system where classical music was at the center and not an afterthought (or ignored as by apple). Organizing and tagging went from a chore to a nice pass-time activity. Musichi's support for tagging is marvelous; access to Gracenote, FreeDB and amazon for information plus very powerful tools to edit tags. The best is the ability to standardize artists, composers and compositions -- you will need this if you want to keep you data quality high (different spellings and low data quality make even a mid-sized CD collection unusable when ripped -- been there, done that). I have looked at a lot of different solutions but this MusiChi's core strength based on a clear and logical design. The best is that MusiChi writes the cleaned tags back to my FLAC files so they are clean even when I import some of them to itunes for use on my ipod or iphone. The player is built with a fantastic interface for navigating even a large music collection. Playback quality is great (ASIO, WASAPI) if you respect that you are playing from a computer (heavy use in other programs can produce stuttering audio). The best feature is for me that I can have seperate instances of the library and players on different computers around the house, all playing from the music files on my NAS. Finally, the support is just outstanding. First, there is a great series of video tutorials that show you the capabilities (and a good workflow). But is is really when you have questions where it gets special: all my emails were answered with good advice within 24 hours. If MusiChi would sell for ten-times the money, the capabilities and support would still make it worthwhile. At the price, I consider this a first-rate bargain. I had to buy another license for parallels and windows (almost $200 together) to run this on my family's iMac, so you can appreciate that I am not just saying this lightly. J. Becker, USA
I found the Musichi Suite to be excellent for cataloging my music collection. The system seemed well thought out, and it was not difficult to find my way through the programs. After several months, I changed computers, moving from a Windows XP to a Windows 8.1 machine, and I found that the programs would not operate. The support team was very helpful in sorting out my problem, spending much time with me on Skype to help set up Musichi on my new computer. The problems turned out to be at my end, and I appreciate their help. I am enjoying the music... E. Arnold, USA
The MusiCHI Suite has proven to be the most effective media player for the classical music collector. I have tried many others players over the past year and always disliked the end result. With MusiCHI, I can tag effectively and know that finding a particular recording will be as easy as turning on my computer. I can now catalog composers, artists, ensembles and more without difficulty. This is by far the best gift for my ever increasing collection of classical and other demanding types of music that falls outside artist and song. G. Philip, Canada
Let me use the opportunity and thank you for your software product, especially MusiCHI Tagger. There is nothing quite like it on the market. I am always looking forward to future updates. J. Kück, Iceland
MusiCHI is an indispensable tool for properly tagging a classical music collection. The developers are always trying to improve the product and are very responsive to helping the consumer with any problems they may encounter. I recommend the program highly. B. Margolin, USA
C. Creveuil, France
I have been using Musichi Suite Ultimo for about 7 months and have nothing but praise for this elegant and comprehensive software. When I first started using the program I was so impressed by its possibilities that I decided to rip again my collection of over a thousand classical CDs and did not regret this decision. I have also included some six hundred downloads and now have a comprehensive catalog which makes it very easy to find and play any item in my collection. All four sections of the program work equally well and with experience are very easy to use, and the software has obviously been developed by someone with a deep knowledge of classical music recordings. The Musichi Tagger is a particular delight to use with the powerful editor and comprehensive assistance with composers and their works, and I now use the Musichi Player as the default for listening to music on my PC. G. Snell, U.K.
S. Martin, Luxembourg
I love the MusiCHI Suite. The tagger- it’s heart- is essential. Anyone who has ripped a large classical music library will realize that there are many mistakes and inconsistencies in the metadata. Fixing it can be a daunting task. I’ve avoided it until now. The MusiCHI Tagger has a large and growing database of performers, composers and their compositions allowing me to quickly fix and standardize the database. MusiCHI Tagger is powerful, flexible, extremely fast and well thought out for classical music collections. The developers are the most responsive I’ve ever come across. My suggestions for additions to the database were taken care of very quickly. G. Gannuch, USA
Allow me to say how intelligent and useful I think the MusiCHI software is. It is the best means for cataloging and digitizing CDs that I have seen. Once my trial period is finished I will definitely be purchasing the Suite. W. Routt, Australia
A few weeks ago, I finally decided to join the 20th if not the 21st century and digitize my classical CD collection. I have hundreds of CD's, and it had become nearly impossible to find any specific recording. I quickly learned, though, that nearly all the software out there for ripping CD's and organizing the music files is based on the pop/rock paradigm (ie., band or singer, song title, etc.). I thought I was going to have to somehow force my CD's into that system until I found the MusiCHI Suite. What a godsend! It does exactly what I need. I can tag my files by composer and composition. It can handle multi-CD box sets. It even includes a built-in standardized list of composers, and for a growing number of composers, their entire list of works, which can be used to organize files in a uniform way. Now, I can convert all my music to flac and search my recordings by composer or era or artist or whatever and find exactly what I'm looking for in a matter of seconds. The developers are extremely helpful, too. I found a few very obscure composers in my collection that were not on their list, and they added them to the MusiCHI database almost immediately. In my view, this is a terrific software package with great support that solves the problem of organizing classical music files with the range of features a collector really needs. Bravo! P. Schroeder, USA
I was in electronics and/or software for more than forty years, mostly as a professor (teaching both electronics and software design), but also as a working engineer and chief engineer. In addition to developing software myself, I have intensively used well over a hundred software packages, in all sorts of areas. Musichi is one of the nicest I have ever seen. It is comprehensive, addressing every aspect of creating a music library, from accurate ripping, to tagging to compression. Finally we have a product that allows classical music lovers to tag their tracks properly. Not only that but the resultant meta-information is embedded directly in the audio tracks so can't be lost when the database file gets damaged, as it inevitably will sooner or later. For a huge bonus, the tagging works with a wide variety of formats, even wave files. Finally, it is elegantly designed, allowing rapid selection of tracks, according to very flexible criteria. Want all your violin concertos or your Bach cantatas? No problem. A few clicks and they're all yours. The Musichi suite is one of the few pieces of software I know that make me think, "I wish I had written that." M. Bruce-Lockhart, Canada.
I stumbled across Musichi about two weeks ago. I downloaded and bought it, and now I want to express my warmest thanks for developing this great program. I've been desperately looking for something like "iTunes for classical music" for more than 5 five years -- only to end up in frustration with what I found. I saw Musichi and I knew immediately: "This is it". And I was right. I can safely say that there is nothing on the market that comes only close to the comfort of Musichi in tagging classical music. I'm now going to transfer my music collection to the computer, getting rid of those thousands of CDs sitting in my shelves. R. Müller, Germany.
I must congratulate the MusiCHI team on the great improvements of the new version 3.4. The capacity to select unassigned composers (or any other field) gives a quick and efficient way to improve the quality of the metadata from music previously ripped with non Musichi software. It is so great to access music through all possible vectors and then have the capacity to enrich it with Musichi Clean, which is another fantastic feature, to standardize composers, performers and compositions. C. Waelti, Switzerland.
This software is far ahead of other library software on the market. It makes a much better solution (with a PC) for a serious music collection than some dedicated music players available at the moment. An important issue for me was the flexibility of choice for the replay codec. D. Homer, UK
I have found that MusiCHI is the best program for my classical cataloging, indexing, and archiving needs. I reviewed and tried many programs as well as explored the possibility of hardware options (i.e. SONOS). I have >1000 classical CDs and several hundred non-classical CDs that I wanted to convert to digital format and store on a NAS. MusiCHI was the ideal solution for me. The suite allows me to convert my CDs into any number of digital formats, and I’m now able to find, sort, and play any of my musical selections stored on my NAS. The technical support is superb. Response time is often just in a matter of minutes. I highly recommend this software suite. Mark Dizik, California
